A Day in the Life of Clipcraze — Thumbnails

Jakub Zohar Rutkowski

CEO ITBees.pl, przedsiębiorca z ponad 25 letnim doświadczeniem w prowadzeniu różnych firm, pasjonat nowoczesnych technologii, programista.

Conceptual work on the project is underway. Today we met with Angelika to discuss the functionality for managing thumbnails added to projects, which will then be used when publishing content on various platforms.

We’re creating a video about growing and harvesting garlic, and once it’s finished, we want to post it on various platforms, such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

Below is a screenshot of the general mockup of this view:

In the next step, we’ll design views that allow users to preview thumbnails in the format specific to each platform. Actually, as I’m writing this, I’m coming to the conclusion that it would be best to upload a thumbnail and quickly see how it will look on different platforms, so we can replace only those that actually need it.

Publishing a longer video across multiple platforms can take some time, which means that in practice, we sometimes have to pause the process midway and later forget that a particular video wasn’t uploaded to a certain platform at all. This step is meant to bring us closer to the “checkboxes” we select once the publication is ready. Perhaps in the future, we can even automate this process directly from within the app.

File Transfer (after connecting the device to the storage)

Editing content on a computer is much easier than on a smartphone, thanks to the computer’s processing power and screen size. Additionally, we have large existing archives of our files on computers. Today we discussed the view that appears when you launch ClipCraze on a computer. When you select a folder containing photos, ClipCraze will build an index of the photos and then transfer all files not yet in the cloud to the cloud.

Video from the UX/UI work session

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I decided it would be worth recording part of our session, so if you’d like to get a behind-the-scenes look at what these sessions are like, I invite you to watch the recording:
